| 1/4" balsa blocking has been fitted to the forward fuselage to allow for sanding to a rounded shape. |

| A 1/2" balsa block has been added to the bottom of the forward fuselage. The block can be hollowed out to save weight. A 1/4" balsa ring has been glued to the firewall to allow for a recess where the motor prop shaft will hide. |

| View showing the wing laid in the wing saddle. A balsa fillet will be added to the bottom of the wing to blend it to the fuselage after the wing is glued to the fuselage. |

| A balsa block has been added to the top of the forward fuselage and sanded to shape. Here you can clearly see the recess for the motor prop adapter. |

| A temporary 1 3/4" spinner has been installed to aid in final sanding of the forward fuselage. A round (more scale ) BF109 spinner will be used at final assembly. |
